After a string of three wins, Kokomo's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 41-32 to Tippecanoe Valley.
Kokomo's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aijia Elliott, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Regan McClain who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Muncie Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 59-15 loss at the hands of Harrison. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Muncie Central in their matchups with Harrison: they've now lost seven in a row.
Kokomo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Muncie Central, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-18.
Everything came up roses for Kokomo against Muncie Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 59-27 victory. Does Kokomo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Muncie Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
