Reitz Memorial's McKinley Warren rumbled for the longest rushing play in Southern Indiana this season in his game against Harrison last week. Warren ran for 93 yards on the play and finished with 113 on the day as his team topped the Warriors.
Castle extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Mater Dei, 35-21. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Reitz Memorial's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dane Hurley threw for 96 and three touchdowns and Zach McCall had 96 yards receiving.
6-foot-0 quarterback Hurley of John Hurley's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 835. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, Bosse's Carringtan Crutcher has rushed for 969 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Arius Carter. The Bosse star has 19 catches for 322 yards.
The Bulldogs' Crutcher is a mere 31 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
A big matchup in Southern Indiana this week will be when the Wildcats take on Reitz. As it stands, Mater Dei is in second, while the Panthers are in fourth.
Evansville Central took down Clark 77-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
