Basketball Game Preview: Grenada Chargers vs. Olive Branch Conquistadors

The Grenada Chargers will challenge the Olive Branch Conquistadors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grenada is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Grenada is returning to their home court after beating Coahoma County on theirs, despite the fact Coahoma County has dominated at home this season. Grenada enjoyed a cozy 42-26 victory over Coahoma County on Tuesday.

Grenada relied on the efforts of Addyson White, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards, and Carlei Brown, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Brown has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 18 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalysia Tedford, who put up four points and six rebounds.

Grenada smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olive Branch). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging an 82-42 win over Saltillo. The Conquistadors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Olive Branch has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Grenada, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
