The Elite Academy Eagles pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-55 to King's Academy. Elite Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
King's Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ransom Soles out in front who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Mcpherson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Elite Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for King's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.
Elite Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. Somerset Prep is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. King's Academy will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berean Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully the Lions likes a good challenge.
