While North Duplin's victory against Lakewood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. North Duplin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Lakewood on Friday. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Noah Price, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunt Pate, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

North Duplin pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Coming up, North Duplin will venture away from home to face off against Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Duplin is facing Union at the right time seeing as Union is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lakewood, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hobbton at 6:00 p.m.
