While losing is never fun, Pebblebrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 277th in Georgia, while Corner Canyon is ranked 65th in Utah).
Corner Canyon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Bendinger out in front who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. Bryton Valdes was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Pebblebrook has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Corner Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Pebblebrook will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Spalding at 4:00 p.m. on December 22nd. As for Corner Canyon, they will head out on the road to face off against Kimball at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
