Vian extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 6 this week by beating Haskell, 40-14. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
Hartshorne made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,281 from 5,651. The improvement was largely due to a 37-20 victory over Stroud last week.
5-foot-11 quarterback Zach Speer of Antlers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,655. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kyle Highley. The Pocola star has 35 catches for 855 yards.
Rylee Simon of the Vian is just 97 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 107 carries Simon has put up 903 yards this year.
Brandon Tyler's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Haymakers.
