Oldenburg Academy hasn't had much luck against Rising Sun recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. The Twisters will square off against the Shiners at 5:30  p.m. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
While Oldenburg Academy's  win against Greenwood Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Twisters skirted past the Cougars  7-5.
Meanwhile, Rising Sun came tearing into  Saturday's  contest with eight straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Chargers by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  13-1. The result was nothing new for the Shiners, who have now won eight games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Emily Oatman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Reese Merica was a standout: she got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.  Vicky Erickson also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Rising Sun  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in eight consecutive  matchups.
 Rising Sun pushed their record up to 10-3 with the  victory, which was their 16th straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Oldenburg Academy, their record now sits at 4-6.
