Despite the loss, Pahrump Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Riley Saldana went 10 for 17 on her way to 24 points and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saldana has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Savannah Thompson, who posted four points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boulder City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Muelrath, who scored ten points along with seven steals and five assists. That's the most assists Muelrath has posted since back in January of 2024. Makenzie Martorano was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 16 boards.
Pahrump Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Boulder City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
