If the Curtis Warriors were riding high off their 51-11 takedown of Health Profession last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Curtis ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-29 walloping at the hands of Moore Catholic on Sunday. While losing is never fun, Curtis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Moore Catholic is ranked 22nd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moore Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Felci, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Costanzo, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Curtis' loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Moore Catholic, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.
Curtis will head out on the road to take on New Dorp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Moore Catholic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wagner at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Wagner is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
