Softball Recap: Crest's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Crest never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Midlakes Screaming Eagles with a sharp 15-0 win. Considering the Chargers have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Crest let Madison Crocker and Allie Summer run wild. Crocker went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI, while Summer scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four RBI gave Crocker a new career-high. Sage McCurry was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

The victory (which was Crest's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Midlakes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Crest and Midlakes will both be playing Gilbert the next time they take the field. The Chargers will head out to face the Indians at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, while the Screaming Eagles will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
