East Hampton/Ross have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Saturday they take on Greenport-Southold-Mattituck at 2:00 PM. East Hampton/Ross come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for East Hampton/Ross, and their match two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to four. It was close but no cigar for East Hampton/Ross as they fell 0-2 to Port Jefferson two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, we expected Greenport-Southold-Mattituck to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked John Glenn last Saturday, and they did. Greenport-Southold-Mattituck have to be aching after a bruising 14-41 loss to John Glenn. Greenport-Southold-Mattituck were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-20.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
