In other batting news, Monroe Catholic got a massive performance out of Landon MacNaughton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave MacNaughton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brian Bast, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
Monroe Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
