The Carmichaels Mighty Mikes came into Tuesday's matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 47-37 win over Bentworth on Tuesday. This was payback for Carmichaels, who suffered a 50-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Bentworth saw an underclassman step up: Ben Hays scored 17 points. Hays is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Dillion Colbert, who scored two points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Carmichaels' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13. As for Bentworth, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.
Carmichaels will take on the Commodores at TBD on Friday. Hopefully Frazier focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Bentworth, they will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
