Many is 7-0 against Lakeview since October of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Many Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Lakeview Gators at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Many has four straight victories, Lakeview has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Many can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They breezed by Red River at home to the tune of 52-18. Many pushed the score to 52-8 by the end of the third, a deficit Red River cut but never quite recovered from.
Jeremiah James was on fire: he rushed for 234 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. James was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, Lakeview came up short against Jonesboro-Hodge on Friday and fell 34-22.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kaleb Collins, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Collins hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Omarion Pierr, who rushed for 161 yards.
Many's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.91 points. As for Lakeview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Many against Lakeview in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 56-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Many since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
