The Blanco Panthers were the 46-38 winner over the Pleasanton Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Blanco took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pleasanton.
When it comes to explaining why Blanco lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Mina Broyles. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Candice Lopez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Blanco's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Pleasanton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-11.
Blanco will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Luling at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Luling focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday. Pleasanton will be home for the holidays to greet Carrizo Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
