The Kemmerer Rangers lost against the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Kemmerer fell to Rocky Mountain 32-27. While losing is never fun, Kemmerer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Rocky Mountain is ranked third).
Leading Rocky Mountain to victory were Shelby Wambeke and Brittly Boettcher. Wambeke scored seven points along with five steals, while Boettcher scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Kemmerer's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rocky Mountain, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kemmerer and Pinedale will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Pinedale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. Rocky Mountain is on the road again on Saturday and play against Dubois at 5:30 p.m. on December 16th.
