Basketball Recap: Alleluia Community Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Alley Mcbride and Lucy Krementz

Alleluia Community lost against Augusta Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. 2025 welcomed the Alleluia Community Angels with a 69-45 loss courtesy of the Augusta Christian Lions. While losing is never fun, the Angels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Lions are ranked 106th).

Despite the defeat, Alleluia Community had strong showings from Lucy Krementz, who posted 12 points, and Alley McBride, who scored 15 points. McBride's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Janik, who earned nine points.

Among those leading the charge was Makenna Ellis, who had 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Cooper, who put up 11 points.

Alleluia Community's record is now 7-6. As for Augusta Christian, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Alleluia Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-44 win against Coastal HomeSchool on the 4th. As for Augusta Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-27 loss against First Baptist School on the 4th.
