Clearfield added to the longest winning streak in Mountain this week by beating Huntingdon, 58-30. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Bison.
Tyrone took down Philipsburg-Osceola 57-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Erik Wagner threw for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 18 yards in the win.
Central's dynamic duo of Noah Benton and Bradi Moore proved to be unstoppable against Penns Valley Area, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Benton threw for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns and Moore had 96 yards receiving. Mike Mock helped Central's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 88 yards.
The Dragons' dynamic duo of Benton and Moore proved tough for the Rams to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Benton put up the best numbers in passing as Central bested Penns Valley Area.
Christian Lezzer was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 202 yards as Clearfield defeated Martin Tobias' team. Teammate Seth Caldwell added to the ground attack by rushing for 117 yards.
Moore was the best wideout in the league this week as the Dragons bested the Rams.
Lezzer was a passing and rushing force as Tim Janocko's team defeated the Bearcats. Lezzer's favorite target this week was Ryan Lezzer, who caught 2 passes for 73 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Moore. The Central star has 15 catches for 270 yards.
An important game coming up in Mountain this week will be when Bald Eagle Area takes on Central. At the moment, the Bald Eagles are in fourth, while the Dragons are in third.
Huntingdon made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,079 from 11,637. The improvement came about via a 58-30 victory over Mike Hudy's team last week.
