After flying high against the Riverside Frontiers back in January, the Hutchinson-Central Tech Engineers came back down to earth. Hutchinson-Central Tech was beaten by Health Sciences Charter 78-44 on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hutchinson-Central Tech in their matchups with Health Sciences Charter: they've now lost four in a row.
Health Sciences Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amir Moye, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Moye is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Whitt, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds.
Hutchinson-Central Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Health Sciences Charter, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing East the next time they take the court. Health Sciences Charter will host East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Hutchinson-Central Tech will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
