After four games on the road, Charlevoix is heading back home. They will take on the East Jordan Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Charlevoix is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Jordan in Michigan (Charlevoix is ranked 52nd, while East Jordan is ranked 400th).
Charlevoix scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took down St. Francis 69-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, East Jordan was the victim of a tough 68-43 loss at the hands of Harbor Springs on Friday. East Jordan has not had much luck with Harbor Springs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, East Jordan got a solid performance out of Angel Delgado, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Delgado grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trace Wynkoop, who scored seven points.
East Jordan struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Charlevoix pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for East Jordan, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Things could have been worse for Charlevoix, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-49 loss to East Jordan when the teams last played back in March of 2023.
