The Lakeway Christian Academy Lions can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past Providence Academy 61-24 on the road. Lakeway Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Kami Wilson, who scored 33 points along with five steals. Wilson is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Linx, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Several Providence Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aerin Hicks, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Kelly Cummings was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Lakeway Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Providence Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeway Christian Academy will take on the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concord Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Providence Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Academy of Knoxville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the in Tennessee (the Warriors are ranked 74th, while the are ranked 257th).
