Baseball Recap: Anamosa Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

While Anamosa's win against Clinton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the River Kings on Saturday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the River Kings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Anamosa's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Clinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anamosa will take on Xavier on Tuesday. As for Clinton, they will square off against Davenport West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The River Kings are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
