Softball Recap: Milby Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Milby waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Sterling Raiders get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Buffs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Milby let Jamie Rocha and Daniella Juarez run wild. Rocha scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Juarez went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. What's more, Rocha posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubre Turrubiartes, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Milby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .955. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Milby's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Sterling, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Milby and Sterling will both be playing Spring Woods the next time they take the field. The Raiders will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Buffs will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
