It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Iola Bulldogs can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Falls City on Thursday, falling 35-0. Iola just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falls City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylon Johnson, who rushed for 199 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Moy, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Iola's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Falls City, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Iola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Falls City will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Rocksprings at 7:00 p.m. on November 16th. Rocksprings is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
