David City is 2-8 against Wilber-Clatonia since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the David City Scouts will head out on the road to face off against the Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. David City is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, David City beat Madison 44-38.
It was another big night for Brock Dubbs, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Clayton Zavodny was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wilber-Clatonia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 46-42 to Sutton.
David City's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8. As for Wilber-Clatonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
David City was able to grind out a solid victory over Wilber-Clatonia in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 60-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for David City since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
