The St. Pius X Lancers will be home for the holidays to greet the South Iron Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Pius X will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 397th, while South Iron is ranked 20th).
Last Saturday, it was a hard-fought game, but St. Pius X had to settle for a 53-51 defeat against Waynesville. St. Pius X has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, South Iron put another one in the bag on Sunday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 53-47 win over St. Elizabeth.
St. Pius X's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-4. As for South Iron, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
