This season hasn't been kind to The Ballinger Bearcats, who are still winless after their tenth match. They took a hard 30-13 fall against Grape Creek on Friday. Ballinger was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Grape Creek apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Canada, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Ballinger's defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.4 points per game. As for Grape Creek, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Ballinger does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grape Creek also has no future games currently scheduled.
