Fruitport put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Kelloggsville Rockets get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.
Khloe Courtade made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Courtade was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Fruitport got a massive performance out of Kalli Tawney, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Tawney has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Russell, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
