Baseball Game Preview: Beaver Country Day Beaver vs. Bancroft Bulldogs

Beaver Country Day has gone 9-1 against Bancroft recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Beaver will challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Beaver Country Day has three straight victories, Bancroft has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Beaver Country Day got the win against Landmark by a conclusive 13-1. Considering the Beaver have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Bancroft didn't have quite enough to beat Concord Academy on Friday and fell 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against Concord Academy since May 13, 2016.

Beaver Country Day pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Bancroft, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Beaver Country Day's way against Bancroft when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Beaver Country Day made off with a 12-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beaver since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
