Chazy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Crown Point Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chazy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in New York (the Eagles are ranked 269th, while the Panthers are ranked 644th).
Even though Chazy has not done well against the Knights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Chazy came out on top against the Knights by a score of 42-32.
Chazy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Howell out in front who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Turek, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Crown Point scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Johnsburg Central 65-39. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Crown Point has managed all season.
Chazy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Crown Point, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.
Chazy took their win against the Panthers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 49-26. With Chazy ahead 34-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
