The Foothill Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the San Ramon Valley Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
San Ramon Valley will be up against a hot Foothill team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Dougherty Valley on Tuesday.

Myra Galzie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ellie Novitske was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Burdick, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one triple.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Ramon Valley). They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over Dublin on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Gaels: they've now won five in a row.
Lila McLeod looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
At the plate, Addie Layous and Brianna Schapiro did most of the damage at the plate: Layous went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Schapiro went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Mads Sekera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Foothill pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for San Ramon Valley, their record now sits at 11-6-2.
Both Foothill and San Ramon Valley just can't seem to miss. The Falcons have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. However, it's not like San Ramon Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Foothill came up short against San Ramon Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 5-1. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
