When it comes to explaining why Dieterich lost, one person who can't be blamed is Miley Britton. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Addison Miller, who scored eight points.
Dieterich struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Dieterich's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Farina South Central, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Dieterich will finish 2023 at home by hosting Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Farina South Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cumberland at 1:00 p.m. on December 26th.
