Volleyball Recap: Hough Takes Down Ranked South Iredell

Hough faced South Iredell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Huskies blew past the Vikings 3-0. The Huskies have beaten the Vikings the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Vikings has come to flipping the script.

While Hough might've won, it sure wasn't easy: South Iredell scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

Hough's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for South Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hough is set to challenge their familiar foe Hopewell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Huskies' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Titans have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, South Iredell will take on rival Christ the King at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
