The Coastal Christian Centurions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Epiphany Falcons at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.
Coastal Christian suffered their biggest defeat since November 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by John Paul II Catholic 64-27. While losing is never fun, Coastal Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while John Paul II Catholic is ranked 35th).
Meanwhile, Epiphany lost to Greenfield on the road by a decisive 52-36 margin on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Epiphany in their matchups with Greenfield: they've now lost four in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Alanna Moye, who scored 21 points. That was a full 58.3% of Epiphany's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Emma French was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Coastal Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Epiphany, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
