After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bastrop, Crockett was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Navarro Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.
One reason for the win was Crockett's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 25-13.
Sadie Peyton paced Crockett's offense, picking up eight kills. Peyton got some help from Ruby Olascoaga and her 13 assists. Anasofia Alvarez and Adriana Carreto kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
