The Alleman Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a  77-35 defeat at the hands of Sterling. Alleman was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  55-17.
 Alleman lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Adam VanMeighem, who  scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  VanMeighem has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gavin Awbrey, who  scored eight points.
 Alleman has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Sterling, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
 Alleman won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Davenport Central at 10:00  a.m.  on December 16th. Davenport Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Alleman in their respective states (Davenport Central is ranked 106th in Iowa, while Alleman is ranked 531st in Illinois). Sterling won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Bettendorf at 4:00  p.m.  on December 16th. Bettendorf will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
