The Oceanside Mariners put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 107-46 win over Mount View at home. Oceanside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 27 points or more this season.
Oceanside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Galley led the charge by scoring 35 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Cohen Galley, who scored 34 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Oceanside's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. As for Mount View, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.
Oceanside will head out on the road to face off against Winslow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oceanside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,471 points over their last 16 matchups. As for Mount View, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mount Abram at 6:30 p.m. Mount View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Mount Abram is ranked eighth).
