New Bremen had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against New Knoxville on Thursday as New Bremen made off with a 42-22 victory.
Meanwhile, Hardin Northern scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They snuck past Crestline with a 57-53 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Hardin Northern as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.
Hardin Northern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alaina Thomas, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Thomas continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Heidi Trachsel was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
New Bremen's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Hardin Northern, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.
New Bremen beat the Polar Bears 52-40 in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Hardin Northern's Maddie Grappy, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
