After a string of six wins, the Telluride Miners's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. The  game between Telluride and Crested Butte wasn't particularly close, with Telluride falling  73-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Several Miners players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Townes Merritt, who  scored 16 points. Merritt hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games.  Grayson Berry was another key contributor,  scoring 20 points.
 Telluride's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 6-4. As for Crested Butte,  the  victory  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Telluride and Mancos will face off  at 11:00  p.m.  on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mancos is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Crested Butte, they will be playing at home against Gunnison at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Gunnison will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Crested Butte is ranked 71st).
