After flying high against the Reidsville Rams last Saturday, the Orange Panthers came back down to earth. Orange suffered a rough 66-42 defeat at the hands of Eastern Alamance on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Orange has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Orange still got an impressive performance from Evelyn George, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alexis Stephens, who scored seven points along with four blocks.
It was another big night for Nicole Hester, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Eastern Alamance. Makayla Scott was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Orange's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Eastern Alamance, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Western Alamance the next time they take the court. Orange will head out to face Western Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Eastern Alamance will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
