After a string of four wins, Ursuline's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 71-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish. Ursuline was probably out for revenge after losing 44-41 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ursuline's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ursuline will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Hilliard Bradley at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Ursuline's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Ignatius at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
