The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ankeny in their matchups with Southeast Polk: they've now lost three in a row.
Claude Phillip was a one-man wrecking crew for Southeast Polk as he rushed for 147 yards and five touchdowns. Phillip has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Moberly, who threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.
Ankeny's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Southeast Polk, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
