It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Houston Mustangs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on Germantown with a sharp 30-10 win. The result was nothing new for Houston, who have now won eight contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Houston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chandler Day led the charge by throwing for 224 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. Day is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Damon Sisa was in the mix too, providing Houston with two touchdowns.
Houston's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.44 points. As for Germantown, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-1.
Houston will head out on the road to face off against Brentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brentwood will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Germantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
