Make it three blowout wins for the Central Golden Eagles this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Holyoke 75-34 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-21.
It was another big night for Jai-lyn Garvin-martin, who shot 8-for-13 from long range and dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angela Hector, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Central pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Holyoke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Holyoke won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
