The Eastern Hancock Royals won the last time they faced the Knightstown Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Eastern Hancock blew past Knightstown 60-30 at home. That looming 60-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Eastern Hancock yet this season.
It was another big night for Kayden Ruble, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Halcomb, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Knightstown still got an impressive performance from Brayden McDaniel, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Eastern Hancock's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Knightstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
Eastern Hancock won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Blackford at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Blackford is ranked 224th, while Eastern Hancock is ranked 208th). Knightstown will be home for the holidays to greet Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
