The South Hills Huskies pushed their score all the way to 34 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glendora. While losing is never fun, South Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Glendora is ranked 174th).
Despite the loss, South Hills still got an impressive performance from Matthew Moreno, who rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 113 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Danny Resendiz, who rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Glendora's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Najarro, who threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes. Matthew Jordan and his 112 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Glendora's victory.
South Hills now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Glendora, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
South Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Glendora also has no future games currently scheduled.
