After flying high against the Animo South Los Angeles Panthers last Wednesday, the Middle College Cougars came back down to earth. Middle College took a serious blow against Math & Science College Preparatory on Friday, falling 57-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Middle College has scored all season.
Lebron Hasan and Josiah Anderson certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hasan scored ten points along with two steals, while Anderson scored five points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Hasan continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Middle College's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for Math & Science College Preparatory, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Middle College won't have much time to rest: their next match is against View Park at 11:30 a.m. on January 13th. View Park is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Math & Science College Preparatory, they will be playing at home against Larchmont Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
