University is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Eaton is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The University Bulldogs will host the Eaton Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. University knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Eaton likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, everything went University's way against Fort Morgan as University made off with a 60-37 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

University can attribute much of their success to Coehn Nitzel, who went 7 for 15 to rack up 19 points along with eight boards and six assists, and John Elbe, who went 12 of 18 en route to 25 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Nitzel is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season. Gage Schminke was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Eaton hadn't done well against Sterling recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Eaton walked away with a 57-48 win over Sterling.
University better focus on containing Austin Crider and Noah Sprinkle as the pair were huge in Eaton's win. Crider dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards, while Sprinkle went 5 of 10 on his way to 19 points. Thanks to that strong game, Crider now owns an excellent 46.5% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Ely Madaleno, who posted seven points and six assists.
University has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Eaton, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's game: University has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 40.1% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Eaton, though, as they've only made 29.4% of their three-pointers this season. Given University's sizable advantage in that area, Eaton will need to find a way to close that gap.
University strolled past Eaton in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 56-41. Does University have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eaton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
