Despite the defeat, Montgomery had strong showings from Ellie Sadler, who had 12 digs, and Delaney Wright, who had 22 digs, 17 kills, and three aces. Wright is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season.
Brenham's win bumped their record up to 24-19. As for Montgomery, their loss dropped their record down to 23-17.
